How do I Register myself/horse/pony?
You can register yourself and your animal online. If you have been registered before and do not have your username and password to login please contact the SJI office (please do not create a new account). If you are first time members please create an account and keep your login details in a safe place.
There are three main sections to the Registration process. Animals must be registered, riders must be registered and owners must become members.
· To register an animal the owner must be over 18 years of age on the 1st January 2010 and a current member for the year.
· All animals must be 4 years and over before registration with SJI.
· Passports must be issued by a recognised issuing authority.
· A record of winnings must be provided if the animal has competed abroad.
· All horses must be micro chipped before a registration can be completed. If your horse has been registered previously with SJI you can send a copy of the marking sheet in the passport clearly stating the new micro chip number, name of the animal and the owners contact details.
· All animals being registered for the first time must include a named passport and be micro chipped.
· Ponies must be measured up to and including 8 years of age. Two consecutive measurings are necessary across and after the age of 8. Click here for measuring dates
· 50% discount for all Memberships / Registrations (except Rule Book) after the 1st September 2010.
· There will be an added Stallion surcharge of €65 on all Stallion registrations and re-registrations.
· SJI will not process un-named passports. Naming must be done with the issuing passport authority.
· Name changes in the passport must be done with the issuing passport authority.
· Foreign Visitors / Riders can only apply once in any calendar year for a maximum of 3 months. Full details of the animal and evidence of approval from the riders National Federation are required at the time of registration. Visiting Pony Riders wishing to compete in Ireland at SJI shows to which they have been officially invited by the show organising committee may compete in pony competitions for which they are eligible under SJI rules.
· All memberships run from the 1st January 2010 to the 31st December 2010.
· New members under the age of 21 years must enclose their original birth certificate.
· All new Amateur Riders and Course Designers must apply in writing to the SJI office. New Judges must apply in writing to their Regional representatives. This must be done before the membership can be processed.

For administration purposes ShowjumpingIreland is divided into four regions. Each Regional Secretary is responsible for coordinating the show dates within their region. Major shows (Grand Prix and RDS Qualifiers) are identified and dates for these agreed in liaison with the other Regional Secretaries and the office, so as to avoid a major clashing of dates. Authorisation forms can be obtained from and must be returned to your Regional Secretary with the appropriate fees. Click here for Show Authorisation Rules
