Children in their 12th year can compete in horse competitions with 2 named horses and the required approval from 2 Level II Coaches up to 1.10m. Children in their 12th year can only compete at the 1.20m level in specific ‘Children on Horses’ competitions, again with the 2 horses named and two Level II Coach approval letters that have been received by the ShowjumpingIreland Office. |

|  | GAIN/ALLTECH AUTUMN GRAND PRIX LEAGUE 2010 RULES Each Show must run a Grand Prix class, which will be listed as Autumn League rounds when the show schedule is published in the Bulletin under Article 238.2.2.
• Prize Money: There must be a minimum of €3,000 for the Grand Prix class
• Declarations: Declarations for the Grand Prix must be made to the S.J.I. Office. Declarations will open at 11am on the preceding Monday and close at 4pm on the preceding Thursday to the Grand Prix. Riders may declare a maximum of 3 horses. Substitution of horses may be allowed with the consent of the Ground Jury. Substitution of riders are not allowed.
• Deposits: All riders must lodge a deposit of €300 with the S.J.I. office prior to making their first Grand Prix declaration. Rollover of deposits from the Outdoor League will be permitted.
• A fine of €50 will be levied for each declared horse/rider that does not start a Grand Prix unless veterinary or medical certificate is provided.
• Any appeal against a fine must be made to the National Competitions Committee in writing within 21 days of the Grand Prix in question.
• All Shows must be run as Stand Alone Shows but can offer points toward an in house league which runs concurrently.
• Dress: In accordance with S.J.I. rules or F.E.I. rules, if this is a prerequisite of the Show. In the latter case this must be stipulated in the Show Schedule. Riders are required to wear numbers as provided. Officials
• Judges: There should be a minimum of one Senior National Judge with a requirement of three Judges in total. The Ground Jury should be in accordance with the SJI ruling. There should also be a recognized Commentator in addition to the Judges’ requirements.
• Course Designer: The course must be designed and supervised by a member of the Senior National, Candidate International or International Panels of Course Designers. Safety cups must be used for the back poles of spread obstacles, and in the case of a triple bar to support the centre and back poles of the obstacle.
• Appeal Committee: 3 in total (which shall include at least one Senior National Judge who is not a member of the Ground Jury) must be appointed in advance. No member of this Committee may be related to a party who is interested in the result of the objection.
• Starter: A starter should be appointed who shall, subject to the Ground Jury, have complete authority at the entrance to the arena and may stop a competitor from entering the arena improperly dressed, without correct number, with the incorrect saddlery etc.
• Prizes: There is a minimum of one prize for every five starters.
• Points: will be awarded to riders/horses in the top six places only. If a rider is placed in the top six places with more than one horse, league points are awarded to the rider for the highest place only. Points for riders will not be re-allocated down the line. Points for the Leading Horse will be calculated on the animal’s placing in the relevant competition.
In the event of a tie for any place, the points applicable to the place will be awarded to each rider/horse. Points, with the exception of the Final Round, will be awarded as follows: 1st 10 pts, 2nd 8pts; 3rd 6pts; 4th 4pts; 5th 3pts; 6th 2pts
Points and a half will be awarded for the Final Round of the League. Prize Fund for Autumn Grand Prix League
Winner: €3,000; Runner Up €1,000; Leading Horse €1,000 In the event of a tie for any of the above awards, the rider/s or horse with the highest place/s in the Final Round will be deemed the Winner, Runner Up and Leading Horse of the Autumn Grand Prix League. ** Please note that there is no Young Riders section in the Autumn Grand Prix League **
