WATERFORD/TIPPERARY AWARDS NIGHT 2012 - Wednesday, January 18, 2012

Waterford/Tipperary Showjumping Awards Night to be held at The Park Hotel Dungarvan on Sat 4th Febuary. MC for the night is Frank Mulvihill and music is by The Mad Hatters.Tickets costing €30.00 per adult and 20.00 per U16 are available from the following committee members Francis Connors, Michael Moloney, Patricia Lalor, Peter Oates, Mairead Flynn and Yvonne Raeburn. Important Notice Regarding Jumping Tickets/Rider Labels

Amateur riders deliberately omitting to place their rider labels on their tickets will be informed that this will not preclude them from gaining Amateur points.

All members registered in 2012 will receive a supply of stickers which can be re-ordered through the S.J.I. office.

Jumping tickets and rider label re-orders must be re-ordered by sending the re-order slip in your ticket book, by fax or by e-mail.

Junior and Young Rider Information

Horses
Children in their 13th year are not permitted to ride horse stallions
Children in their 13th year cannot compete on a horse above 1.20m with a spread of 1.40m unless they make an application to the Junior/Young Rider Committee for Junior members who will seek a report on competence for a specific horse/rider combination from a Level 2 Coach.

It is to be encouraged that horse/rider combinations would participate in regional training.

Coloured Jackets

In order to maintain the approved dress code for show jumping, riders who wear coloured jackets other than those listed in the Rule Book – Navy, Black , Grey or Tweed – are requested to apply to ShowjumpingIreland for permission to wear non standard coloured jackets

National Grand Prix 2011

There will be no Young Riders Section in the National Grand Prix League.

Pegus Horse Feeds Young Rider Development League will continue for 2011 and the Highest placed Young Rider finishing in the Top 10 they will receive a Rug from Pegus Horse Feeds.

National Development League 2011

National Development League 2011

A National Development League at 1.10m(S) and 1.20m(S) level will take place in 2011. This league will cater for children on horses, juniors and young riders. The League will have three points scoring rounds in each region. Shows and dates to be decided. League last round will be no later than August 1st. League final will be held at the Young Rider National Championships. All thirteen rounds will score points 1-6

Each regional round will have a prize fund of €750. Showjumping Ireland will contribute €350. The Final of the league will be held at the championships and will have a €2,000 prize fund to be divided 1-10 as per Showjumping Ireland’s rules. This final will be open to the top twenty combinations of the league.

The overall league prize fund (€3000) will be divided as follows: 1st €1500 2nd €1000 3rd €500

All rounds will be elligible to receive rosettes and rugs.

A 3 afternoon bursary training in Mckee Barracks with an Army coach will be part of the league prize.
