TWO NEW EXCITING OFFERS FOR RIDERS AT TWINNED SHOWS
THE organisers of the Mullingar Country Fayre and International Horse Festival (June 3rd-6th) and the Bolesworth Showjumping Classic and Country Fair (June 10th-12th) are delighted to announce two new fantastic initiatives for the twinned shows.
In addition to the £10,000 bonus on offer to the rider who can win the Grand Prix classes at both venues, and a super Leading Rider Prize of a holiday for two to Barbados, the shows are now offering a Leading Young Rider Prize and also a stallion nomination to the Leading Mare over the two shows. These have been kindly sponsored by the world-famous All-England Jumping Course at Hickstead and Breen Equestrian.
The exciting Hickstead Young Rider Scholarship is on offer to the Leading Young Rider who accumulates the most points from a total of seven classes over the two shows. The rider must be under 25 (on or before January 1st 2011) and the points must be accrued on the same horse throughout. This applies to Classes 2, 4 and 6 at Mullingar and Classes 2, 10, 21 and 34 at the Bolesworth Classic.
The prize is two training sessions, one each day, on the same horse (approx one hour each) with international show jumper Shane Breen on the Monday and Tuesday before the Hickstead Derby Meeting (June 22nd-26th) with ‘supervision’ over the show and an opportunity to compete in the Equimax Under 25 Masters. Points will be awarded from 10 for first down to one for 10th in each of the above classes to qualifying riders.
The second prize, courtesy of Breen Equestrian, is a free covering to Shane Breen's international jumping stallion Balloon for the mare that accumulates the most points across the 1.30 metre series at both shows. These are the three international classes at Mullingar (Classes 1, 3 and 5) and four 1.30 metre classes at Bolesworth (Classes 1, 9, 25 and 32). In the event of equality, highest placings will be taken into account and then clear rounds jumped. Points will be awarded from 10 for first down to one for 10th.
See http://www.breenequestrian.com/services/stallions-and-stud.php for further information on Balloon. Terms and conditions apply.
