WATERFORD/TIPPERARY AWARDS NIGHT 2012 - Wednesday, January 18, 2012

Waterford/Tipperary Showjumping Awards Night to be held at The Park Hotel Dungarvan on Sat 4th Febuary. MC for the night is Frank Mulvihill and music is by The Mad Hatters.Tickets costing €30.00 per adult and 20.00 per U16 are available from the following committee members Francis Connors, Michael Moloney, Patricia Lalor, Peter Oates, Mairead Flynn and Yvonne Raeburn. Limited number of tickets available.

PONY PREMIER LEAGUE 2012


                          INFORMATION REGARDING VENUES AND DATES WILL APPEAR AT A LATER STAGE

                       

     RULES

This competition is open to 148cm; 138cm and 128cm ponies with 140+ points competing over the following fence heights:

                             128cm - 1.10(S)                138cm - 1.20(S)                      148cm - 1.30(S)

This competition will be run under Article 273.2.2 and Article 273.3.2/Article 273.3.4 (with one being chosen)

This will be a 3 round competition where all clear rounds or 25% of starters will jump again in the second round

Course Designer will be Senior National or above

Points will be awarded to 10th place - 10,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,1

Points awarded are for the athlete and where the athlete gains more than one place, the highest place points only will be awarded

Points are not transferred down the line

Points allocated at Banteer and Coilog will be points and a half, i.e. 15,12,10,5.9,7.5,6,4.5,3,1.5,1.5

Declarations to be made to the SJI office by midday Wednesday preceding the Show

No undeclared competitor will be permitted to compete

Competitors will not be permitted to use Temporary Tickets or jump Hors Concours

Substitution: with the permission of the Ground Jury, the athlete may substitute a pony.  No substitution of athlete is permitted

Athletes may compete on a maximum of 3 ponies in each class

To be eligible for 1st-3rd placing in overall League, those athletes in contention must compete at last two rounds of the League

Start lists will appear on the SJI website on Thursday prior to the Show

The Connemara Pony Breeders Society are kindly donating €500 to the highest placed full bred Connemara pony overall in the League

 

 The winner at each round will win a rug kindly sponsored by Michael Kelly

(If a winner has won a rug previously in this League, the next in line will receive the rug)

 

DATES 2012 - T.B.C.

RULES
This competition is confined to 148cm 6/7 year old ponies (born in either 2005/2006)

The competition will be run under Article 238.2.2

6 Year Old ponies will jump first over fence heights 1.10m - 1.15m in jump off

7 Year Old ponies will jump after the 6 Year Olds over fence height 1.15m - 1.20m in jump off

The top 8 highest placed ponies at each venue, not already qualified, will be eligible to compete at the qualifiers at the National Pony Championships

Once qualified a pony may compete in other qualifiers but the Judges must be informed

At the Championships, 2 pre-qualifiers will be held and the top 25 overall will compete in the Final on the Sunday

Athletes may ride a maximum of 3 ponies per class

Athletes may qualify a maximum of 2 ponies for the Final at the Championships.  Where they first qualify will govern their eligibility

Only qualified combinations can compete at the National Championships

Qualifying courses must be built by a Course Designer of at least Senior National status

Declarations to be made to the SJI office by midday, Wednesday preceding the Show

Under no circumstances can undeclared entries be accepted on the day to compete for points/prize money

Temporary Tickets can be used but athletes will not be eligible for points or prize money or placing

Important Notice Regarding Jumping Tickets/Rider Labels

Amateur riders deliberately omitting to place their rider labels on their tickets will be informed that this will not preclude them from gaining Amateur points.

 
All members registered in 2012 will receive a supply of stickers which can be re-ordered through the S.J.I. office.
Jumping tickets and rider label re-orders must be re-ordered by sending the re-order slip in your ticket book, by fax or by e-mail.
