Unaffiliated shows:
ShowjumpingIreland wishes to remind it’s Officials that assisting at unaffiliated Shows may have insurance implications and consideration should therefore be given before participation as such Shows.
Deputy Judges:
Deputy Judges must not judge on their own as it may have Insurance Implications.
Notice to Officials:
Please ensure that your membership is up to date for 2010. Officials are not covered by SJI Insurance if officiating without their current membership being paid. If your name is not appearing on the relevant officials list for 2010, and your membership is paid, please contact Central Registry immediately to have this checked out.
Notice to Field Stewards:
Field Stewards - Please ensure that ALL JUDGES who have officiated at the Show for which you are acting as Field Steward, are listed on the Official Results List. It is important that a record of all Judges is available.

“A pony may only participate “Hors Concours” in a band lower than its two eligible height bands, within its pony height category.” E.g. A 138 cms. Pony normally competing in 100cm. and 110cm. may go H/C in an 80cm or 90 cm. class. H/C must be clearly entered on the ticket – otherwise a fine will automatically be generated by the computer system.
1.30m. Horse Classes: Article 254N. 3.3
In 1.30m. classes, points will also be awarded for additional horses jumping a double clear round as per the points for 6th place (3 pts.)
Temporary Tickets: Article 294N. 2.
A Temporary Ticket may be purchased at the show at an additional cost to the entry fee. This is available to members and non-members for animals not currently registered, or without a current registration ticket to hand.
Registered animals competing on a Temporary Ticket may take part in their normal class, but may not compete in any competition on a registered ticket on the same day and are not eligible for Grading Points or Prize Money.
Unregistered animals may participate in the relevant category, i.e. correct pony height, or relevant metre class.
Newcomer ponies:
Please note that the Newcomer pony heights include 40cm and 50cm and not 80cm as previously published.
Deputy Judges:
Reminder to all Deputy Judges to return their National Judges panel letter/form which they should have received before Christmas 2009. There are still a number outstanding. These must be submitted to the SJI office or your regional representative before the 30th April. Please contact Catherine in the SJI office if you have any queries.
Article 274 Competition in two phases:
Clarification:
Please note under Article 274, time penalties for a Two Phase Competition are one penalty for every four seconds over the time allowed.
Probationary Judges:
ShowjumpingIreland and the National Judges Committee are happy to announce a new Probationary Judges Pilot scheme for 2010. This is aimed at Judges registering for the first time, to encourage new members onto the panel and the membership fee is €10. Please contact Catherine in the SJI office or your regional Judges representative for further information.
Modified Classes:
Please note that with immediate effect the bell should not be rung after the first round in M classes.
