Horseware Amateur Super League



This competition is very generously sponsored by Horseware Ireland and will be run on a league basis (same horse / rider combination). Each leg of the Super League will have prizes to the value of €1000 and a €4000 prize fund for the final. Total prize fund of €18,000.

  • A horse / rider combination is only allowed accumulate points at one show on any one day.
  • There will be double points awarded at the league final and the combination with the most points accumulated throughout the league will be deemed the Super League winner.
  • Points will be awarded 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 for placing one to six at each venue. 
  • In the event of a tie the overall league winner will be decided on the most number of 1st placings, followed by 2nd placings, etc... 
  • A rider is eligible for one prize only in the final league placings (excluding best turned out, novelty prize etc.) and must be present on the day of the final for presentation.
  • It is imperative that the shows running a leg of the Super League have a photographer present on the day. The results and photos are to be sent to Rachel Kearns in the SJI Office by email   (
