GREENE IS FIRST LADY AT MULLINGAR INTERNATIONAL CSI**

Joan Greene claimed the second leg of the Horseware/ TRM Premier Series today at Mullingar International CSI**, sponsored jointly by Ballynegall Feeds and Mullingar Supporters Club and carrying a prize fund of €24,000.

There were 41 starters in the class over a fair track which saw some casulties over the water at number four and a tricky last line.  11 combinations made it through to the jump off and with the ground riding well course builder Peter Gillespie tested their abilities with a big tight turning track for the jump off.

Vincent Byrne was the first double clear and set the standard but was quickly caught by Greg Broderick, a super turn from the third to the fourth gave Deane Rogan the advantage  but it was Joan Greene who took the honours with Tim O'Shea's chestnut mare Biscaya D'Eversem by Sheyenne De Baugy.  Joan was delighted with the mare saying "the mare didn't let me down, it was an honour to win with some good horses in the class but the mare was quick and clean behind".  A second placing at Louth County now gives Joan the top spot on the Premier series leaderboard.

Robert Harrison took the crown of leading irish Based International Young Rider at the show, winning an entry to a major English Int horse show plus shipping arrangement sponsored by Five Star Int Horse Transport.

The next action comes from Ballivor Show next Saturday where the next leg of the Horseware/TRM Grand Prix Series takes place.
