The sixth leg of the Horseware/TRM Premier Series 2014 took place today at Tattersalls July Show in Ratoath, Co. Meath.

42 starters took on Tom Holden’s track and just 11 combinations made it to the second round for the Horseware/TRM Premier Grand Prix, supported by the Friends of Rolestown and ShowjumpingIreland and carrying a purse of €10,000.

It was on form Greg Broderick who stormed home with a double clear in 52.65 and took the top spot with the Caledonia Stables owned MHS Going Global, rounding off a very successful weekend for the Tipperary rider who yesterday took the National Grand Prix with the ever consistent Rincarina.

A steadier double clear gave Eddie Moloney to take second place and a time fault in both rounds to give a total of two was enough to give Capt/ Geoff Curran and the distinctively marked Mullaghbane third place.

The top three riders on the Horseware/TRM Premier Series Leaderboard after Tattersalls get automatic qualification for the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show in August.  Greg was already guaranteed his place at the RDS and this gives him extra points to move clear at the top of the Premier leaderboard with MHS Going Global top of the Horse table to date.

Joan Greene kept the second place on the leaderboard and Eddie Moloney’s strong second place finish at today’s leg ensured him the third place at the RDS.

With just two legs of the series left the Horse/TRM Premier Series now moves to South County Show in Coilog Equestrian Centre for the seventh leg on Sunday 3rd August.
