Safeguarding Children & Young People – Safer Social Networking (SSNAP) Masterclass

Half Day Class 9.00am-1.30pm

Who should attend:

  • Children’s social workers. 
  • Statutory and voluntary youth service staff, including offender management teams. 
  • Police officers and staff who engage with schools, children and parents or those involved in investigating crimes against them. 
  • Foster carers and others working with and responsible for looked after children.
  • Teachers and school staff responsible for safeguarding, pastoral care or ICT. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify young people’s use of contemporary platforms.
  • Demonstrate a greater understanding of safeguarding in the context of social media.
  • Develop enhanced awareness of offender behaviour & how they use new technology.
  • Recognise & manage online risks.
  • Formulate tactics & interventions.
