The 1.35m kicked proceedings off on the Saturday of the show with over 70 entries declared online. With a very hot class, Klaus Holle stepped up to build a demanding course for the competitors. Tim McDonagh riding Tick Tock Tina owned by Jackie Lee were the fastest of the double clears on the day to take first place in the opening leg, the unbeatable time was set by the Young Rider in 29.34. Louis Deplac and Lowhill Showdown did their best to catch McDonagh but had to settle for second place in a time of 30.58. Eddie Maloney and Jessy Van DeHeide pulled into third place in a time of 31.63, with Veronica Tracey just missing out on a podium finish on Daify with a time of 31.67. Greg Broderick and Deep Pockets filed into fifth place with a double clear of 33.77, while Tom Hearne and Any Questions took up sixth place in a time of 33.90.

The 1.40m class on Sunday saw high numbers similar to Saturday with just under 80 entries. Again, this was a very exciting class with the top three separated by less than a second in the line-up.

John Floody and Eilleen Duggan’s Bronson De Reve showing the field how it is done with a double clear in 37.25, Max O’Reilly Hyland and Dorado came in second place with a time of 37.76 and Damien Griffin and Tabby settled for third place in 37.85.

Ross Mulholland and Cybel finished in fourth position in a time of 39.69, Nicholas Butler and James Egans’ Cornet Son slotted into fifth position with a time of 40.11 and Greg Broderick took up sixth position with Deep Pockets.
