DANIEL COYLE RETAINS SPRING TOUR TITLE WITH 1-2 AT COILOG

Despite being assured of a second HSI/Blue Grass Spring Tour Title before todays final leg, Daniel Coyle didn't let that disrupt his excellent run of form as he recorded a 1-2 in todays final leg at Coilog.

Coyle has led the league since winning the opening leg at Kildare International the Derry Young Rider claimed four further wins with a sixth win this afternoon.

Having secured the previous five wins with Linzi Johnston's Uptown Girl, today was the turn of Judy Murphy's Javas Wild Child to take top spot.

Coyle has only taken the ride of Javas Wild Child this season and they appear to be a really strong combination and stopped the clock in 40.81 to win.

The prolific Uptown Girl slotted into second with another double clear breaking the beam in 41.31. Linzi Johnston's Concorde mare was crowned the Leading Horse in the league.

Sophie Dalm is another Young Rider who has had an excellent run throughout the Spring Tour and she collected another placing today taking third with Vaillant S.

Galway's Sven Hadley and Adlegonde Z took fourth in 41.74.

Leading National Hunt Jockey, Robbie Power returned to the Showjumping arena with a fantastic performance to take fifth on Doonaveeragh O One. The son of Showjumping legend, Capt. Con Power, paired up with the same horse last year to win the Eventers Grand Prix at Hickstead.

Reigning National Grand Prix League Champion, Greg Broderick, took sixth on his seasonal debut with Rincarina.

So for the second year in a row, Daniel Coyle is crowned Champion of the HSI/Blue Grass Spring Tour and also claims the Young Rider category prize.
