Eligibility to Jump at Showjumping Events in Northern Ireland
Following numerous complaints in relation to who can compete in Northern Ireland, it has become necessary to stress that only elite athletes may compete under the current restrictions. With immediate effect the following actions will take place
- Entries will be scrutinised very carefully to make sure all athletes come under the correct “elite” category (deriving an income from competing in the sport).
- If there is a query regarding an entry, the athlete will be contacted and afforded the opportunity to provide proof of income, otherwise the entry will be cancelled.
- Start lists will again be checked before competition to ensure only those who are allowed to compete do so.
