HORSE SUMMER TOUR 2019
The tour will once again cover the length and breadth of the region with classes for all athletes from 90cms up to our 1.35m Grand Prix. Starting off the tour for 2019 will be Causeway Coast Arena on the 20th April. The Finals are to be held at the Meadows Equestrian Centre on 24th August 2019.

A separate leaderboard will be created for Young riders in 1.10m and 1.20m classes. Young Riders are requested to clearly indicate this on their ticket. It is the responsibility of the athlete to ensure this is done.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR LEAGUE PRIZES COMPETITORS MUST JUMP IN THE FINAL LEG AND BE PRESENT FOR THE PRESENTATION OF PRIZES HOWEVER THE ULSTER REGION COMMITTEE MAY IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION WAIVE THIS REQUIREMENT WHERE EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES ARISE.
Points awarded as follows: Horse/Rider Combinations.
90cms- 3pts for competing, 3pts for clear first round and 3 pts clear 2nd round- maximum score 9pts
1m/1.10/1.20 & 1.35m- 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1
All classes will receive the following points in the final (no other points awarded)
1st- 15, 2nd-12, 3rd- 10.5, 4th- 9, 5th- 7.5, 6th- 6, 7th- 4.5, 8th- 3, 9th- 1.5 & 10th- 1.5
6 ULSTER TOUR LEG placings PLUS the FINAL count towards the total of each combination’s points. If a combination competes in more than 6 League Legs and the final, then the best 7 results will be taken for the total points awarded. In the case of equal points after the final leg, the highest placed combination (in the final leg) of those on equal points will be deemed the winner. HORSE / RIDER Combinations must compete in a minimum of 4 legs in each height category prior to the final leg to be eligible to compete in that section in the final leg for League points and prize money.
90cm, 1m, 1.10m, 1.20m & 1.35m Summer Tour
National Judge or above, plus 1 others from Judges Panel plus 1 marker.
Senior National Course Designer/ or above.
Experienced / competent Starter.
Appeals: If necessary the appeal committee can be formed ad hoc and should consist of at least 3 officials, one of which must be a national judge and 2 other SJI officials, for example senior course designer, stipendiary steward, field steward not related to a party interested in the result of the objection.
SHOW START TIME:
Starting time for all 1 arena venues to be not later than 8.30am.
RULES SPECIFIC TO ULSTER REGION 1.35M SUMMER TOUR
ALL 1.35m TOUR CLASSES MUST BE PRE-ENTERED ON LINE. DECLARATIONS CLOSE THURSDAY PRIOR TO CLASS AT 4PM AS PER SJI RULES.
Prizes for placings 1st – 6th and if more than 40 competitors in accordance with SJI Rules for 1 in 5 Prizes. (Not less than the Entry Fee or 8th place prizemoney whichever is least).
ONE LATE ENTRY ONLY PER RIDER MAY BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY WITH AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF £30 / €35 ADDED TO ADVERTISED ENTRY PRICE- THESE COMPETITORS MUST JUMP AT START OF CLASS.
DRAWN ORDER MUST BE ADHERED TO. THIS APPLIES TO COMBINATION, NOT JUST THE RIDER.
Riders are restricted to competing with 3 horses only.
With permission of the Ground Jury, prior to commencement of the class, a rider OR a horse may be substituted but under no circumstances can both be substituted.
Riders must present themselves mounted and correctly dressed for the Prize Giving----NO EXCEPTIONS.
Start Time: Ulster League 1.35m mini Grand Prix competitions should start at a Prime Time where possible and no later than 4pm.
RULES SPECIFIC TO ULSTER REGION 90cms, 1m, 1.10m & 1.20m CLASSES
ENTRIES FOR THESE CLASSES SHALL BE ENTRY ON THE DAY. THE COURSE MUST BE CHANGED AFTER EACH CLASS.
For 90cms- all double clears will receive rosettes.
1m, 1.10m & 1.20m- Prizes for placings 1st-6th AND if more than 30 competitors in accordance with SJI rules for 1 in 5 prizes---- not less the entry fee or 6th place whichever is least.
These classes will run as part of the normal classes at the show and, where possible, on the same day as the 1.35m mini GP Ulster region Tour class.
Riders are restricted to competing with 4 horses per class. (Applies to 90cm, 1m, 1.10m and 1.20m classes)
