Grand Prix TOUR 2020
Criteria
The Ulster Region committee have been working alongside both the NI Executive and ROI Ministers to establish an amended regional tour that will provide our members with top quality safe competition within the current guidelines. Classes will run from 1m to 1.35 GP combining the UR Amateur Cup and Young rider awards.
Venues must comply with all guidelines and requirements in force when hosting the Ulster GP Tour.

Final - Rugs to League winner and rosettes 1st to 3rd.
A Perpetual Cup / Trophy to be awarded to highest place Junior/Young Rider in 1.35m section.
Porches Diamond Memorial Cup presented by Gillian Lee to the winner of the 1.35m League leg at the Meadows Equestrian Centre.
Prizes and league points to top 3 ‘A’ amateurs in 1m and top 3 ‘AA’ amateurs in 1.10.
League points to young riders in the 1.10m and the 1.20m.
NO PRIZE GIVING ON THE DAY, results will be available through SJI Live.

A separate leaderboard will be created for both the Young riders in 1.10m and 1.20m classes, and the Amateur riders in the 1m and 1.10 classes. It is the responsibility of the athlete to ensure their category details are correct on the SJI Live system, failure to do so may result in your league points not being allocated.
To be eligible for League placings the HORSE / RIDER Combinations must have competed in a minimum of 4 legs in each height category. Temporary Tickets are not eligible for league points.
POINTS
Points awarded as follows: Horse/Rider Combinations.
1m/1.10/1.20 - 1st -6, 2nd- 5, 3rd- 4, 4th-3, 5th -2, 6th- 1
1.35M – 1ST- 10, 2ND-8, 3RD-6, 4TH- 4, 5TH-3, 6TH-3.
Amateur League
Points awarded as follows-
‘A’ section – 1st – 6, 2nd- 5, 3rd- 4, (all remaining double clears 3 points)
‘AA’ section – 1st- 6, 2nd- 5, 3rd-4, (all remaining double clears 3 points)
Young Riders
1.10M/1.20M - 1st -6, 2nd- 5, 3rd- 4, 4th-3, 5th -2, 6th- 1
POINTS AND A HALF AT FINAL LEG.
OFFICIALS
1m, 1.10m, 1.20m & 1.35m
National Judge or above, plus 1 other and a marker (subject to change due to Covid restrictions)
Senior National Course Designer/ or above.
Experienced / competent Starter.
Appeals: If necessary the appeal committee can be formed ad hoc and should consist of at least 3 officials, one of which must be a national judge and 2 other SJI officials, for example senior course designer, stipendiary steward, field steward not related to a party interested in the result of the objection.
SHOW START TIME:
Starting time for all 1 arena venues to be not later than 8.30am.
ALL CLASSES MUST BE PRE-ENTERED ON- LINE USING SJI LIVE. STRICTLY DRAWN ORDER, IF YOU MISS YOUR TURN YOU WON’T JUMP. THIS APPLIES TO COMBINATION, NOT JUST THE RIDER.
ABSOLUTELY NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROTOCOLS.
Prizes for placings 1st – 6th and if more than 40 competitors in accordance with SJI Rules for 1 in 5 Prizes.
Riders are restricted to competing with 3 horses only.
