BENTLEY MOTORS & ULSTER REGION SUMMER TOUR

 

The Ulster Region are delighted to welcome Charles Hurst Bentley as co-sponsors for the 2018 Ulster Region Summer Tour.  The tour will once again cover the length and breadth of the region with classes for all athletes from 90cms up to our 1.35m Grand Prix.  Starting off the tour for 2018 will be the Causeway Coast Arena, RDA Coleraine on 26th May. The Finals are to be held at the Meadows EC on 29th July.

ARTICLES  

90cms – Legs will be run under 274.5.1,

1m- Legs will be run under 238.2.2 or only where time is a constraint may be run under 274.5.3

1.10m- Legs will be run under 238.2.2 or only where time is a constraint may be run under 274.5.3

1.20m- Legs will be run under 238.2.2 or only where time is a constraint may be run under 274.5.3

1.35m- Legs must be run under 238.2.2

 

Final- All classes in final will be run under 238.2.2. 

 

PRIZES AND PRIZE FUNDS

All League Prizes to follow SJI prize breakdown rule.

Final-  Rugs to League winner and rosettes 1st to 8th.

A Perpetual Cup / Trophy to be awarded to highest place Junior/Young Rider in 1.35m section.

Porches Diamond Memorial Cup presented by Gillian Lee to the winner of the League leg at the Meadows Equestrian Centre 2nd to 3rd June.

*- Entry fee may be increased by €5 for Prize Fund of €1,500 and for any further €500 increase in Prize Fund.

A separate leaderboard will be created for Young riders in 1.10m and 1.20m classes.  Young Riders are requested to clearly indicate this on their ticket.  It is the responsibility of the athlete to ensure this is done.  

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR LEAGUE PRIZES THOSE IN CONTENTION MUST JUMP IN THE FINAL LEG AND BE PRESENT FOR THE PRESENTATION OF PRIZES-----NO EXCEPTIONS.

POINTS

Points awarded as follows: Horse/Rider Combinations.

90cms- 3pts for competing, 3pts for clear first round and 3 pts clear 2nd round- maximum score 9pts

1m/1.10/1.20 & 1.35m- 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1

All classes will receive the following points in the final (no other points awarded)

1st- 15, 2nd-12, 3rd- 10.5, 4th- 9, 5th- 7.5, 6th- 6, 7th- 4.5, 8th- 3, 9th- 1.5 & 10th- 1.5

7 ULSTER TOUR LEG placings PLUS the FINAL count towards the total of each combination’s points. If a combination competes in more than 7 League Legs, then the best 7 results will be taken for the total points awarded. In the case of equal points after the final leg, the highest placed combination (in the final leg) of those on equal points will be deemed the winner.

OFFICIALS:

1.35m Summer Tour

Senior National Judge or above, plus 2 others from Judges Panel.

Senior National Course Designer/ or above.

Experienced Starter.

Appeals:  If necessary the appeal committee can be formed ad hoc and should consist of at least 3 officials, one of which must be a senior judge and 2 other SJI officials, for example senior course designer, stipendiary steward, field steward not related to a party interested in the result of the objection.

90cms, 1m, 1.10m & 1.20m Summer Tour

National Judge or above, plus 2 others from Judges Panel.

National Course Designer/ or above.

RULES SPECIFIC TO BENTLEY ULSTER REGION 1.35M SUMMER TOUR

ALL 1.35m TOUR CLASSES MUST  BE  PRE-ENTERED ON LINE. DECLARATIONS CLOSE WEDNESDAY PRIOR TO CLASS AT 4PM AS PER SJI RULES.  

Prizes for placings 1st – 8th and if more than 40 competitors in accordance with SJI Rules for 1 in 5 Prizes. (Not less than the Entry Fee or 8th place prizemoney whichever is least). 

ONE   LATE   ENTRY   ONLY   PER   RIDER   MAY   BE ACCEPTED ON  THE  DAY  WITH  AN  ADDITIONAL FEE  OF  £25/  €28 ADDED  TO ADVERTISED  ENTRY PRICE-   THESE   COMPETITORS   MUST   JUMP  AT START OF CLASS.

DRAWN   ORDER   MUST   BE   ADHERED   TO.   THIS APPLIES TO COMBINATION, NOT JUST THE RIDER.

Riders are restricted to competing with 3 horses only.

With permission of the Ground Jury, prior to commencement of the class, a rider may substitute a horse. NO substitution of rider is permitted.

Riders   must   present   themselves   mounted   and   correctly dressed for the Prize Giving----NO EXCEPTIONS.

Start Time: Ulster League 1.35m mini Grand Prix competitions should start at a Prime Time where possible and no later than 4pm.

RULES SPECIFIC TO BENTLEY & ULSTER REGION 90cms, 1m, 1.10m & 1.20m CLASSES

ENTRIES FOR THESE CLASSES SHALL BE ENTRY ON THE DAY. THE   COURSE   MUST   BE   CHANGED AFTER EACH CLASS.

For 90cms- all double clears will receive rosettes. 

1m, 1.10m & 1.20m- Prizes for placings 1st-6th AND if more than 30 competitors in accordance with SJI rules for 1 in 5 prizes---- not less the entry fee or 6th place whichever is least. 

These classes will run as part of the normal classes at the show and, where possible, on the same day as the 1.35m mini GP Ulster region Tour class.

Riders are restricted to competing with 4 horses per class.

Riders   must   present   themselves   mounted   and   correctly dressed for the Prize Giving----NO EXCEPTIONS.
