TRM/Horse Sport Ireland New Heights Champions Series
The New Height Champions Series will be replacing the long standing Premier Series. The New Heights Champions Series will be held at ten locations throughout the year.
National Grand Prix League
The Showjumping Ireland National Grand Prix League is the cornerstone of the national calendar. The leagues travels around all four corners of the country with a lucrative overall league winner.
Connolly's Red Mills Spring Tour
The Connolly's REDMILLS Spring Tour is the first Grand Prix series which kicks off at the start of the year. The league also incorporates a Young Rider and Pro-am section with a generous prize fund.
TopSpec Autumn Grand Prix League
Each show can run an Autumn Mini Grand Prix (1.35m), an Autumn Grand Prix (1.40m) or both, which will be listed as Autumn League rounds when the show schedule is published in the Bulletin under Article 273.2.2/273.3.3.
Top Oil National Ladies Championship
Top Oil will be sponsoring this year’s National Ladies Championship which gets under way at Causeway Coast on the 15th April, with the final being held at Whites Cross Show on the 2nd of September.
ISH Studbook Series
The Series which is made up of classes for 5, 6 and 7 year old horses has €80,000 on offer in prize money from Horse Sport Ireland for the young horse series. Over the decade, the series has gone from strength to strength with entry numbers building year on year.
The Coolmore Pony Premier Series
Coolmore Stud will be the official sponsor of the Pony Premier Series for 2017. The Pony Premier Series consists of five legs, with a grand final taking place at Ard Chuain Equestrian on the 8th September.
Allianz Pony Starfinder of the Future
The Allianz Starfinder has helped to pony's to reach the premier series over the past decade.
Gateau Stables National Young Pony League
The concept was developed by the National Pony Committee after requests from its members who saw a need for a young pony league that would benefit the production of young ponies within the sport.
Plusvital & Holmestead Spring Tour
The Plusvital & Holmestead Spring Tour consists of 5 legs which take place throughout the country at the beginning of the year. 3 of the legs are viewing classes for Fontainebleau. The tour is deemed as a preparation for the season ahead.
MM Horse Trucks National Pony League
The Michael Morrissey Horse Trucks National Pony League takes place at 6 shows in each region totaling 24 qualifiers throughout the country, with a grand final taking place at the National Pony and Young Rider Championships.
Equestrian World Maynooth Discovery League
The Equestrian World Maynooth have been synonymous with the U8/U10 Discovery League. This exciting league is geared for our young athletes to encourage them to participate and most importantly of all, to have fun!
Amateurs & Young riders
This long running league provides a feature class for our Amateur athletes at each show.
Horseware Ireland Derby League
The Derby league which is kindly sponsored by Horseware Ireland features a Derby style class, including many 'cross-country' styled obstacles.
The Dingo Championship runs throughout the year, accumulating in a grand final at the end of the year.
Farmers Journal Championship
Opened to A riders only this league sees a number of qualifiers take place, leading to a final
It is a great to be crowned National Champion after a long year. It was a great win for Erne Ladygoldilocks and great way to top off her season. She will now go on a break while I concentrate on some of the younger horses.
2016 National Champion
It was a very quick jump-off and both horses performed very well. I have Ballyknock Diamond since he was five and he has been a brilliant horse and is very successful and has a lot of scope and a great brain. I will aim him at the Premier next year and I am looking forward to stepping up to this level with him.
2016 Autumn Grand Prix Champion
It was always going to be a competitive class and I knew that from looking at the start-list. Ger put it up to us when he got three through to the jump-off and really to win you needed to be very fast.
