Rules 2026
- The aim of Pathway Series is to act as a bridging class for 148cm ponies and riders to further advance them on their Pathway to competing in the 148 Pony Premier class.
- It will be ran under Timed Article 274.5.2.8N Two Phase Modified - Phase 2 Against The Clock.
- The total prize fund is approx €5000. Including league prizes. (€1000 Final & €500 per leg).
- Combinations must compete in the PRL Pathway Series Final to be eligible for League prizes.
- To qualify for the final, combinations must have competed in at least one leg of the PRL Pathway series to qualify for prizes.
- Fence heights will be 1.20m.
- Combination based.
- Points will be awarded to the top 10 eligible combinations as follows....1st place receives 10 points, 2nd 9 points...10th place receives 1 point.
- If a combination becomes ineligible their name will be removed from the leaderboard, however points will not be changed.
- No minimum or maximum points requirement.
- Any combination placed in top 6 in a 148 Pony Premier or qualifies for the RDS 148 Grade A class in the current year will NOT be eligible for Pathway League prizes.
- Any combination that has taken part in the European Team Pony Trials in the current year is not eligible for the PRL Pathway Series. However, combinations not called at the trials can still participate. The SJI Office will confirm those who cannot compete with Horse Sport Ireland.
- Pathway Series to run as a supporting class at The Castlefield Pony Premier venues.
- The final will be held at the National Pony Championships in Mullingar.
