On Sunday the Botanica and SJI Ladies League took came to an exciting close last weekend at Cavan Equestrian. Following a tough competition this year’s title went to junior rider Isobel Sheehan when she partnered Ahare Olympic Flemmencio to a double clear in a time of 31.63 seconds. Amateur rider Lisa Hitchmough (AA) aired on the side of caution, and it paid off as she delivered the second clear of the class aboard her own Manija in a time of 37.06. Junior rider Natasha Foley was fastest of the four faulters with Caroline Widger’s six-year-old Cillbrid Excel in a time of 33.45. Amateur rider Sarah Connolly also proved out of luck as she had one on the ground with her own eight-year-old MP Cosmina in a time of 34.35, for eventual fourth. Fellow amateur rider Edel Kelly (A) came home carrying four faults with her own Agustina in a time of 37.44 for fifth place. Junior rider Robyn Mcowan finished on seven faults 54.13.
