Cork Greyhound Stadium will once again open its doors to Munster Stadium Jumping. This is a perfect evening out for both equestrian enthusiasts and those who are just looking for something different on a Friday after work.

The gates will open at 4.30pm with the first class of the evening taking place at 5.00pm.

The first class of the evening will see the 128 pony class. These strong competitors are all under the age of twelve and jump their ponies over 1.05m track. There will be 16 competitors in total and they are set to jump off against the clock, this class always proves a nail biting and ‘must watch’ class on the night.

Class number two of the evening is the Amateur Team event. With a prize pot of €2,000 very kindly sponsored by O’Brien’s Saddlery, it is sure to conjure up some competitive atmosphere amongst the teams made up of Amateur riders from Cork/Kerry, Limerick/Clare, Waterford/Tipperary and the Wild Cats.

Class number three will be the crème de la crème of Irish Showjumping with the Horse Sport Ireland Grand Prix. Fences in this class will stand at 1.40m in height and will be the highlight of the evening with a prize pot of €8,000.

The Young Riders will be watching the Grand Prix to see if they can get any last minute tips on the course that will be jumped by them as the finale of the evening. The young riders will jump a 1.10m course and hoping to take the top spot on the podium and first prize on the evening.

The evening at Cork Stadium Jumping will be capped with one of Ireland’s leading fiddle players, Liam O’Connor, providing entertainment in the bar for everyone after jumping.
